What you can expect during assessment, treatment or transport.

Being treated in a public place, on a set or at an event can feel exposed. Here is what will happen and what you can ask for.

Before we arrive

You may be looked after by event staff or colleagues until a clinician reaches you.

Identifying our staff

Our team wear identifiable uniform and carry photographic identification.

Initial assessment

A clinician will introduce themselves, ask what has happened and check your observations.

Consent

We will explain what we would like to do and ask for your agreement before doing it.

Treatment

Care is provided within the clinician’s scope of practice and to national standards.

Communication

We will explain findings in plain language and answer your questions.

Privacy and dignity

We will move you somewhere private wherever it is safe and practical to do so.

Transport arrangements

If you need hospital, we will explain how you will get there and who is taking you.

Clinical handover

We hand over to the receiving clinician and share the relevant clinical detail.

Patient records

A clinical record is completed for every patient contact and stored securely.

Providing feedback

You can give feedback or raise a concern at the time or afterwards.
