About Film & Events Medical Services
Who we are, why the company was established, the sectors we support, the personnel available, and our nationwide capability.
Professional medical support, wherever it is needed.
Who we are
Film & Events Medical Services Ltd provides professional medical, ambulance and welfare support for film and television productions, events, organisations and specialist projects throughout the United Kingdom. The company was established by people who have worked on both sides of the fence — in NHS and independent ambulance operations, and on live production units — and who wanted medical provision that is planned to the activity rather than sold from a price list.
We work to a simple principle: the medical resource on site should reflect the risk that is actually present. That means understanding the schedule, the stunts, the crowd, the terrain, the weather and the distance to definitive care before anyone quotes a number of crews.

We provide medical cover for film and television, medical provision for public and private events, on-site treatment centres, medical staffing supplied to third parties, and the dry hire of professionally maintained vehicles.

Film and television medical support
Production sets are working environments with their own hazards: long hours, night shoots, height, water, vehicles, pyrotechnics, animals and choreographed action. Our teams work quietly alongside the unit, integrate with the assistant directors and health and safety leads, and stay out of frame.
Event medical provision
From community fun days to multi-day festivals, our event provision is built from a written medical plan: expected attendance, demographic, the nature of the activity, alcohol and drug risk, weather exposure, access and egress routes, and escalation arrangements with the statutory services.
Our vehicles and equipment
Vehicles are maintained on a planned schedule, checked before every deployment and cleaned to a documented standard. Clinical equipment is inventoried, calibrated where applicable, and subject to expiry and defect checks.
Quality, safety and governance
We operate a governance framework covering clinical practice, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, medicines management, incident reporting, complaints and the Duty of Candour. Our public governance information is published in full so that clients and patients can see how the organisation holds itself to account.
Our commitment to clients
You will receive a written medical plan, a named point of contact, personnel who arrive when they said they would, and a post-deployment report. Where something does not go to plan, we will tell you.
Nationwide medical coverage
We are based at Three Mills Studios in East London and deploy across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Travel, accommodation and standby arrangements are agreed in advance and set out in the quotation.
Our mission
To deliver medical provision that is proportionate, clinically sound and unobtrusive — so that productions and events can run safely, and so that anyone who needs care receives it promptly and with dignity.
