Equality and Accessibility
How our services are made fair, inclusive and accessible.
Tell us what you need and we will do our best to provide it. You do not have to explain why.
Equality and human rights
We work to the Equality Act 2010 and treat all protected characteristics with equal respect.
Reasonable adjustments
We will adjust how we deliver care where that removes a barrier for you.
Communication support
We can slow down, write things down, or involve someone you trust.
Accessible information
Information can be provided in large print, easy read or other formats on request.
Mobility requirements
We plan access, transfer and seating around your mobility needs.
Sensory needs
We can reduce noise and light where clinically safe to do so.
Cultural and religious needs
We will accommodate requests about privacy, clothing, diet and the gender of the clinician wherever possible.
Language and interpretation
Interpretation can be arranged; family members are not used for clinical interpretation where avoidable.
Support from representatives
Carers, advocates and supporters are welcome.
Raising an accessibility concern
Tell us if we got it wrong so that we can put it right.
